Madisyn and Ty got in on the action. The mayor was on hand as the tree planting was for the city. The city is part of the Tree City, USA program and the kids planting the 3 new trees at the fire station helped them meet part of the requirements for the program.
The ranger also talked to the kids about the benefits and uses of trees. At the end of the program each child received a cherry bark oak tree to plant at home
I thought it was ironic that we planted trees in town and none of the kids live in town. LOL
