Knitting 101

Last Christmas I decided I wanted to learn to knit. Kent and the kids bought me a set of bamboo knitting needles for Christmas and I began. This was my first attempt at following a pattern. It is hard to see in the picture but it is a barn and silo. I began the pattern one afternoon while traveling with Kent. I had some yarn and a set of size 10 needles in the van. The pattern calls for size 7 but I decided to try it anyway. I'm really pleased with how it turned out and plan to make another on the correct needles.
