Summer Fun!

Yes, I'm behind - again. Oh well, you will be in for a treat over the next few days.

Madisyn LOVES to ride horses. I think she would give up eating for the chance to ride all day. Thankfully, she isn't dependent on mommy to take care of this need. Kent is much more knowledgeable than I am and he occasionally saddles up Papaw's horse for her to ride. As much fun as it is to ride Sarah, it pales in comparison to riding Ranger. Ranger is Uncle Phillip/Cousin Brooke's horse. On this particular day Brooke was giving a riding lesson near our house and Madisyn was going to catch a ride back to the barn to ride Ranger.

Brooke expected to be done with the lesson around 11:30 so at 10:45 Madisyn went out and sat in the driveway. An hour later we decided to change plans so that I could see her on Ranger. She sat in the hot sun so patiently all that time! She also made a gift for Brooke and wrapped it herself. It contained some of Daddy's old farm toys and a Madisyn original painting of Brooke, Madisyn and a horse (I don't remember which one).
